Public Engagement and Concept Development
The public engagement for this project aims to bring awareness about the project, create excitement about the process and outcomes, and inform and encourage the public about ways to get involved. The public outreach and engagement provides an immediate opportunity for MARTA riders, community members, and other stakeholders to get involved, including signing up for updates to stay informed about progress and engagement opportunities. Thirteen design concepts have been developed around a set of transformative principles and selected three based on existing conditions and analysis and stakeholder and public feedback. MARTA’s project team on the Five Points Transformation has presented a preferred design concept reached with its partners at the City of Atlanta that would create a compelling new civic space and transit hub in Downtown Atlanta.
